• How do we apply to be considered for a financial award or scholarship?

  In order for your child to be considered for financial assistance or scholarships, we require a completed Financial Assistance for School Tuition (FAST) application. For more details, see the FAST webpage.

• What is the average financial award?

  The average award is $8,300.

• How many students receive financial assistance at Saltus?

  For the 2024/25 school 19% of our students are receiving financial assistance and/or scholarships.  Since 2014, Saltus has issued an average of $1,000,000 per year in scholarships or financial assistance impacting close to 1,000 students. 

• When are financial assistance and scholarship decisions made?

  We can consider FAST applications throughout the year but we allocate most of the awards by March for the next school year. It is strongly suggested for families to complete the FAST application prior to January 31st to be considered. 

• Will it hurt our chance of being accepted if we apply for financial assistance?

  No, definitely not. Saltus considers a family’s financial circumstances separately from the admissions process. 

• Does Saltus provide full scholarships?

  No, Saltus does not offer any full scholarships.

• What is the difference between receiving Financial Assistance vs. a Scholarship?

  In order to receive either financial assistance or a scholarship, a family needs to demonstrate financial need. If your child receives a scholarship, they will receive it every year until they graduate and do not have to reapply to FAST. Financial assistance is a one-year award that is meant to help a family when their financial circumstances have changed and they need support for a short term. A FAST application is required each year in order to receive financial assistance.

• Does Saltus award athletics or academic scholarships?

  No, we do not have any specific athletics or academic scholarships and all financial awards are made based on the financial need of a family.

• Is there an option to get support for expenses beyond tuition?

  We do have a Programme Assistance application which families can complete if they need support in some of the expenses beyond tuition. Programme Assistance may be considered for support for overseas trips, laptop purchases, exam costs, etc.

• If we join Saltus without financial assistance, can we apply at a later date?

  Yes. We understand that financial circumstances may change over the years that your child is enrolled so the FAST application is always open.
